Zinc Alloys Specifications

Zinc alloys are commonly used in die casting due to their excellent combination of mechanical properties, castability, and cost-effectiveness. Some common types of zinc alloys used in die casting include but not limited:

Zamak Alloys

Zamak alloys are the most widely used zinc alloys in die casting. They include Zamak 3, Zamak 5, Zamak 7, and Zamak 2. These alloys typically contain a combination of zinc, aluminum, magnesium, and copper. Zamak alloys offer good strength, hardness, and dimensional stability.


ZA Alloys

ZA alloys are zinc-aluminum alloys that offer improved mechanical properties compared to traditional zinc alloys. They contain higher aluminum content, typically ranging from 8% to 12%. ZA-8 and ZA-12 are two common types of ZA alloys used in die casting.
